A true legend of French electronic music, Jack de Marseille discovered acid house, EBM, and new beat as early as the 1980s. A pioneer among pioneers of French rave culture, he opened his first record store (Wax Records) in Marseille in 1997. A resident at Rex Club, touring with Daft Punk in 1997, and DJing at the first Techno Parade in 1998, his history is intertwined with that of French Techno.

Constantly on the road with an always busy schedule, he will be present for his monthly resid(a)nce this Friday.

In the 1980s, Jack de Marseille mixed acid house, EBM, and new beat tracks. He took his first steps as a DJ in 1990 in a club in Cap d’Agde. Starting in 1990, he abandoned his veterinary studies and tennis courts to dedicate himself to DJing. In 1992, he made a name for himself in Marseille, where he organized and hosted the city's first rave, Atomix, at La Friche Belle de Mai. There, he met Laurent Garnier. It was also at La Friche that he had his studio, where he started on Radio Grenouille, and where the group IAM also had their studio. He was hired for the first rave at the Transmusicales de Rennes. In the following years, his performances followed one another at major parties, and he became a resident DJ on Radio FG then at Rex Club.

Gradually, he began traveling the globe: Brussels (Fuse), Amsterdam, parties and clubs in China, New York, South Africa, Italy, Spain, Germany, and England.

In 1994, he released his first compilation with Fairway Records. As the founder of Wax Records, his record store in Marseille, Jack distributed house and techno there from 1995 to 2003. In 1997, he released the record Submerge with the Ozone label and opened for Daft Punk on their first tour. In 1998, he DJed at the first Techno Parade. At the same time, he honed his production skills at Ozone Records, the Grenoble-based label. He also founded the Wicked Music label in 2001.

His 1st album, Free my Music, was released in 2002 on Wicked Music / Wagram Electronic, followed by his second album, Inner Visions, in 2009.

Every year since 2015, he has organized the musical event Jack In The Box Festival
