Kumbia Queers

The explosive Argentine band Kumbia Queers is coming to Valencia with their unmistakable mix of cumbia, punk, and festive attitude. On September 9th, they will perform at Sala Matisse with a show that promises dancing, energy, and an authentic collective celebration.

Formed in Buenos Aires in 2007, Kumbia Queers revolutionized cumbia from an irreverent and queer perspective, fusing cumbia villera with punk guitars and a DIY spirit. Their style—which they themselves define as "1000% Tropi Punk"—mixes Afro-Caribbean and Latin American influences with the power of rock, creating a unique sound that has conquered stages all over the world.

With a career spanning more than 15 years and tours across America, Europe, and the United States, the band is known for their explosive concerts: a combination of original songs, surprising cover versions, and tracks from their latest works that turn every show into an inclusive party where everyone is invited to dance and celebrate freedom.

Minors under the age of 16 will be allowed to enter the concert provided they are accompanied by their father, mother, legal guardian, or a responsible adult authorized by any of the former three, who must also purchase a ticket to attend the event and accompany the minor inside the venue throughout the entire show. An adult may act as a guardian to accompany and take responsibility for minors, meeting the following requirements: Be of legal age and PRESENT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS: 1) the authorization signed by the father, mother, or legal guardian who will accompany the minor to the event or through which any other adult is authorized to act as the minor's guardian. (The document must be brought already filled out to avoid unnecessary waiting at the entrance).
