L'Agenda Afterwork is back for the new season, and taking the opportunity to announce the comeback of its Maquis!

Join us on Thursday, September 3rd at La Bellevilloise, to experience "Les Palabres du Maquis" together. A unique experience where the hustle and bustle of African maquis meet afro-queer magic! A time to gather amongst ourselves and have open-hearted discussions on topics experienced by us and for us.

Jawu, the host of the podcast "Talkwing with Jawu" and editor of the magazine of the same name, will be alongside our host Divine to guide this discussion session where the only rules are respect and excess! 🗣

On the program:

6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Chilling at the Maquis (Icebreaker) To kick off the evening, we invite you to break the ice and meet people in a fun, relaxed way around tables featuring iconic Afro board games such as: Ludo, Awalé, Checkers, Scrabble, Dominoes, and Jenga. 🎲

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Discussing at the Maquis (Main Activity) We will then all gather together for a moment of authentic and caring discussion. Alongside Jawu and Divine, we will open up the "palabre" space, where everyone can express themselves without filter in a respectful and cheerful atmosphere. <span>👫🏿</span>

10:00 PM – Midnight: Vibing at the Maquis (DJ Set by Lamotonia) To wrap up the evening in style, Lamotonia will keep you moving until midnight to R&B, hip-hop, afrobeats, amapiano, and Caribbean sounds. 💃🏿🕺🏿
