ESKIFAIA meets JAH MILITANT SOUND SYSTEM La Rochelle In Dub #4 – Sound System Meeting

Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8 PM to 2 AM, Eskifaia Sound System welcomes Jah Militant Sound System to Philosophy Le Concept in La Rochelle for a new reggae, roots & culture, and dub session.

For this gathering, both sound systems will set up their rigs with a 2 x 8 bass configuration for a Jah Music Session at Philosophy.

JAH MILITANT SOUND SYSTEM

Founded in 1998 by Ras Weeda, Jah Militant Sound System follows in the tradition of Jamaican sound systems. Their selection spans reggae from ska and roots to dub and stepper, with a major focus on dubplates, exclusive tracks, and collector items.

For over 25 years, Jah Militant has been playing in France, across Europe, and internationally. Ras Weeda is also a producer and runs Jah Militant Records and Back in the Days Records, two labels behind more than twenty vinyl releases since 2010.

For this date in La Rochelle, Jah Militant will set up 8 bass bins and bring their Roots & Culture selection for this encounter with Eskifaia.

ESKIFAIA SOUND SYSTEM

Created in 2018, Eskifaia is an independent sound system rooted in reggae and dub culture, active mainly on the West Coast and in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The crew develops its activities around sound system events, sound reinforcement, music production, the Eskifaia label, and its web radio.

Eskifaia has its own sound system featuring a full 8 bass configuration, used during its reggae, roots & culture, dub, and bass music sessions.

On October 17th, Eskifaia will team up with Jah Militant for a Sound System Meeting with both systems set up at Philosophy.

The Eskifaia association acts as a service provider for the evening and handles the management and collection of ticket sales on behalf of Philosophy Le Concept. Obligations related to the operation of the venue, as well as declarations and payments of SACEM royalties pertaining to the event, are the responsibility of Philosophy Le Concept.
