THE BEAUTIFUL SUNDAYS AT LE BARBOTEUR
As summer arrives, Le Barboteur sets up its Sunday quarters in Pantin. Every Sunday, Le Barboteur welcomes you on its terrace with its concerts, its food & drinks chill corner, and its play area for a friendly and warm atmosphere. For this tenth edition of the Beau Dimanche, Le Barboteur invites Break Ya Bones.
Beautiful Sundays are by the water.
Break Ya Bones, literally “break your bones”, is a call to enter the dance and the afrobeat trance. It is also a reference to Fela Kuti's track “Confusion Break Bones” about the broken bones of opponents to the Nigerian regime.
From Paris, Bordeaux, Yaoundé, Tananarive, or the 93 department, the band is a cosmopolitan ensemble of eleven musicians who draw inspiration from the heritage of the father of afrobeat while giving pride of place to cultural blending.
With a hypnotic groove rhythm section, a punchy brass section, and two explosive female singers, the heart of Break Ya Bones beats to the rhythm of an energetic, committed, and generous afrobeat.
To keep the evening going, DJ La Bise will take over with a 100% vinyl DJ set featuring warm and groovy sounds. Behind her decks, she crafts an eclectic musical journey where dancing rhythms, rare gems, and sunny grooves follow one another with elegance. A wonderful way to make the energy of afrobeat last and to let yourself be carried away until the end of the evening by the water 💿🌊
