The story
Les Insinueuses build bridges. Between the concert and the reading. Between artistic, poetic, musical, and sound practices. Les Insinueuses invite Nana Quinn, Alphonse Bisaillon, and Violett Pi.
line-up:
VioleTT Pi (alternative, rock, punk)
Four bodies colliding on European stages, a grand carnival under the voice of the clown bowing down to the skid; four madnesses slowly taking shape; a great traveling circus deploying its prayers in the restricted space of summer nights. VioleTT drags his mythology around, brings along his faithful troupe of mountebanks, and presents this show in the subversion of all codes and all senses. In the infinite mathematical madness, the circus will stop here and there, from city to city, laying new foundations for sanity itself. What remains stable to build one's mythology on when everything is collapsing all around, what remains solid at the twilight of the clown? The question is raised.
Alphonse Bisaillon (pop punk)
Alphonse is a monster, a diva, a cooing baby. Alphonse is a gorilla playing with a branch. Alphonse is the new iPhone, a brain parasite. He was born from a poem by Victor Hugo cradled in his mother's voice. He was offered money and accolades: Prix Mouffe, Stingray Rising Star, Sirius XM Award, etc. to play his music in Canada, in France, and down to the deepest ancient seas and the secret confines of the Milky Way. Last year, he disappeared into himself to write his first album: "t.o.m. ou la trajectoire des perséides". And you can take my word as an omniscient narrator that Alphonse is now back, augmented, multiplied tenfold by new poetic proteins and bionic mechanisms that will allow him to take music even higher, even further, thanks to the power of love, in an epic second season filled with battles against the forces of evil! And he is really going to kick those amoebas' asses! Have I made myself clear?
Nana Quinn (sound poetry)
Nana Quinn is an adisciplinary artist lost somewhere on Highway 20. Driven by a hybrid approach, they create intimate and poetic worlds in which words always dialogue with gestures, sounds, images, or objects. Their works are exposures that question the human experience and the malleability of boundaries between certain concepts perceived as contradictory such as life and death, memory and oblivion, the visible and the invisible, pain and rapture. Impermanence is their little obsession. In art dissemination contexts (recognized or infiltrating) as well as in personal life, the artist strives to create zones of sensitive exchange where dialogue and indulgence can emerge. Their first book, Mauve est un verbe pour ma gorge, was republished by Blast editions in the spring. Their latest book, Pensée magique, was released on May 5 by éditions du Noroît.
