Mandrake Handshake

Oxford and London-based multidimensional collective Mandrake Handshake presents music they describe as “Flowerkraut”: a hedonistic, psychotropic feast blending krautrock, avant-pop, and psychedelia, spiced up with enigmatic grooves and daring improvisations. Following the release of their debut independent album, Earth-Sized World, in February 2025—which climbed into the Top 20 independent sales—the band received praise from The Times, UNCUT, CLASH, BBC Radio 6 Music, and many others. The controlled energy and elegant chaos of their live shows have earned them numerous festival appearances, several headline tours across the UK and Europe, a sold-out show at No90 Hackney Wick, and an exceptional performance at the legendary Fabric club.

This rise has been immortalized by a public-acclaimed KEXP session (over 225,000 views to date), recorded in February 2026 following their participation in the Trans Musicales festival the previous December.
