When it saw the light of day on April 26, 1996, Il Vile felt like a sudden tear in the Italian musical sky. Ranked by Rolling Stone Italia among the 100 most beautiful Italian records of all time, with this album Marlene Kuntz knew how to transform angst and fragility into a new language, where pain turned into beauty and anger into lyricism.
Every track on Il Vile is a world of its own: there is the electric impact that shakes the body, the alternation of fury and suspended silences. This is not just a record to listen to: it is an experience to walk through, between scratches and caresses.
Thirty years later, that urgency has not faded: on the contrary, it resonates with even greater clarity, proving that Il Vile does not belong to a bygone era, but continues to converse with the present. Its words speak to contemporary disillusionments, its atmospheres offer a mirror to today's anxieties.
Following the success of the tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Marlene Kuntz invite their audience to meet them in 2026 with the "Marlene Kuntz suona Il Vile" tour, in which the band will bring back live, city after city, all the power of an album that marked an entire generation.
