One of England’s most revered folk performers, **Martin Simpson** is widely recognised as one of the finest acoustic and slide guitar players in the world. His interpretations of traditional songs are masterclasses in storytelling, delivered with an intensity and emotional depth that have captivated audiences for over five decades.
Released on the day of this performance, *Some Kind of Jubilee* marks 50 years since Simpson’s first LP and finds him at the height of his powers. Recorded in Yorkshire and Santa Monica, the album brings together new original material, reimagined classics and traditional songs, shaped by a lifetime of musical exploration.
This concert forms part of a wider tour celebrating the album’s release. Simpson’s live shows are intimate, eclectic and deeply moving — a rare opportunity to experience a legendary artist up close at a defining moment in his career.
