The story
Mildred are a four-piece band from Oakland, California built on complete collaboration. With no lead singer or sole songwriter, every song is shaped equally by Henry Easton Koehler, Jack Schrott, Matt Palmquist, and Will Fortna. Their debut album, Fenceline, has earned widespread critical acclaim, with Pitchfork calling it "one of the most assured and striking debuts from a rock band this year," praising its "novelistic detail," "confident and disarming" songwriting, and warm blend of indie rock and spectral alt-country. a rare creative dynamic where ideas are passed, reshaped, and elevated by the group with each member's favourite moments are often the ones someone else contributed. Described by Clash Magazine as "imagine if Pavement went Americana," Mildred create poetic, understated indie rock rooted in friendship, shared creativity, and a genuine love of making music together.
Hank Bee is the solo project of Liverpool-based, Northumbrian musician Hannah Brown. Blending the folk and country traditions of North East England with the emotional intensity of alternative rock, she pairs vivid guitar-driven arrangements with deeply personal songwriting exploring place and identity. Hank Bee has become a standout on the Liverpool live circuit, earning praise from Far Out Magazine for her dynamic, emotionally charged performances. Featured on BBC 6 Music, KEXP and X Radio, and long-listed for Green Man Rising 2026, she is regarded as one of the UK's most exciting emerging artist.
