Mister Gang is a French reggae band originating from Essonne. Formed in 1990, the gang chained together concerts, set up their own label, and released "Liberté illégale" in 1999, a completely self-produced debut album. The album features tracks spanning a variety of styles, ranging from roots to ragga, some of which remain relevant 25 years later.

On stage, the Gang champions a reggae sound infused with all kinds of influences such as rock, groove (funk, soul, R&B), hip hop, and electronic music. After releasing their second album and playing over 1,000 concerts, the band mutually decided to bring the adventure to an end in 2004.

However, that was without factoring in the very strong friendship and camaraderie forged over all those years living together, both on the road and in the studio. It is hard to resist the call of the public and the music. The Gang is back, driven by a desire to play, share, and spread their committed musical message all over France and beyond, for both the older and the newer generations.
