The story

Parviz releases his debut album in 2026, featuring the lead single "Azadeh" — a given name for young girls in Iran meaning independence and free-spiritedness; underlying it all is the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement and recent popular uprisings in Iran, the urgency of which is emphasized by artist Rana Fadavi’s illustration. The subsequent release, "Sappho’s Fragments", was broadcast on BBC Radio 6 and has reached over half a million streams since its release.

A dreamlike, candid, and visionary album; funk, psychedelic, and Persian sounds meet to evoke the spirit of 1970s Iran, while adding a resolutely modern touch. Floral, colorful, and contemplative, it feels like a cassette of Rangarang, the beloved music show of Iranians back then — with a DIY aesthetic and an indie twist.

Following a successful UK tour in February and March, and 5 consecutive sold-out shows, Parviz will return for the second leg of the "Khorshid Khanoom Tour", performing at La Boule Noire on November 7th.
