Marina Gomes Singer, composer, and instrumentalist, Marina Gomes dedicates her artistic work to the world of samba. She released her first album, O Samba é Meu Guia, in 2015, followed by her second, Central do Amor, in 2023. She has collaborated with prominent Brazilian artists such as Silvério Pontes, Bobô da Cuíca, Thiago Delegado, and Dé Lucas, among others. Her compositions have been recorded by Aline Calixto, Júlia Rocha, Carol Serdeira, Thiago Delegado, and the group Nossa Roda. Throughout her career, Marina Gomes has shared the stage with major figures of Brazilian music, including Áurea Martins, Moacyr Luz, Diogo Nogueira, Fabiana Cozza, Toninho Geraes, Grupo Galocantô, Zé Luiz do Império, Moyseis Marques, and many others. @amarinagomes

Emilia Chamone Emília Chamone is a tenured professor at the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), where she teaches in the Pedagogy, Music, and Intercultural Training for Indigenous Educators (FIEI) programs. A percussionist, ethnomusicologist, and music pedagogue, she develops artistic and pedagogical research on rhythm. She worked for eight years in the Parisian conservatories Paul Dukas and Mozart, where she led innovative educational projects. Dedicated to promoting Brazilian music in France, she has led Brazilian percussion workshops at the Philharmonie de Paris and directed numerous cultural action projects (Passages Transfestival, Villes des Musiques du Monde, Banlieues Bleues, Au Fil des Voix, Projet Studio 19 / Philharmonie de Paris, Projet Démos). She has also devoted herself to professional training, fostering a dialogue between theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and pedagogical reflection on music (DASCO, DAC, Philharmonie de Paris, Ariam Île-de-France, Projet Démos, and numerous French conservatories). As a percussionist, she has accompanied artists such as Hamilton de Holanda, Aline Calixto, Tabajara Belo, Kerry James, Grand Corps Malade, Karine Huet, Yure Romão, and Marina Gomes, among others. In her artistic practice, transmission, creation, and research are inseparable and part of the same approach: making music collectively, in a creative and lively way, always rooted in the body and anchored in the present moment. @emiliachamone
