In a few words
Velcro Flats presents the second of their monthly series of gigs at Red Sun Moon.
**Prayer Tech**
Prayer tech is a new project featuring current and past members of Pozi, Keg and Blue Bendy. Drawing from the sounds of emo, post-hardcore and psychedelia the 3 mutate clashing opposites together, sincerity and pretence, open guitar and discordant bass riffs. Their first album is set to be released this year, recorded at Crypt Studios, the sound is raw yet ethereal, at once immediate but also not afraid of a euphoric chorus.
**Unmarry Me**
Unmarry me is Lise Frances, Jon Slade and Chris Rowley. Made up of personnel who have all had time in other beat combinations who did not take easy routes or money, and didn't make many friends, so it goes. These groups respectively or chronologically were Huggy Bear, Comet Gain, Im Being Good, Help She Can’t Swim, Snoozers, bands that time will record as being on the right sides of history and her story. Unmarry me are about bending, queering, breaking and resetting rules, smudging boundaries and in the main having a lovely time.
**James Howard**
Multi-instrumentalist James Howard joins us to perform new material. James is known as founder of Blue House and collaborator with luminaries such as Rozi Plain, Dana Gavanski, Kate Bollinger and Alabaster Deplume. His debut solo album 'Peek-A-Boo' was released in April 2023 to great acclaim.
