Red Axes

FAR brings Red Axes to Village Underground for a headline DJ set.

Formed in 2010, Red Axes emerged from the post-punk scene before turning their attention to the dancefloor, and the join never really went away. Across a decade and a half and a catalogue split between their own Garzen Records and labels like Crosstown Rebels and Permanent Vacation, Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi have built a sound that pulls disco, new wave, industrial and psych-rock into something that still moves a room the way house and techno do.

That same instinct carries into their DJ sets, records dug from a collection deep enough to swing from moody post-punk into full-on club weight without ever losing the room, built on years spent behind the decks from Panorama Bar to Glastonbury to Coachella.
