Rencontre avec Mathilde Ramadier

A comic book writer and author of acclaimed essays such as Vivre Fluide and Au-delà du moi, une enquête sur les psychédéliques, Mathilde Ramadier is a huge fan of electronic music. Ever since she saw Laurent Garnier perform at the Sónar festival the summer she turned 15, she has never stopped roaming dancefloors and has conducted an entire series of exclusive interviews with him, enabling her today to compose this "portrait of a living legend of electronic music," examining his journey and musical heritage. A biographical essay, Garnier is also a broader reflection on electronic music, techno, and raves—practices that were originally marginal and have become popular without leaving the realm of political struggles.
