“Borrowing its name from Chuck Jones's iconic character and Bo Diddley's classic, the Roadrunners etched themselves into the history of French rock over some fifteen years, from 1982 to 1996, across six albums. Combining the Beatles' innate sense of melody, the pure energy of The Jam, and the class of The Dogs, the band from Le Havre delivered over a thousand incandescent concerts, mainly in France but also abroad, from the United States to 'Belgerie'. One of the rare French bands to wield franglish through Frandol's hyper-crafted lyrics, the Road, as friends called them, were often during those earth-shattering gigs the best French rock live band, and sometimes even the best rock live band period.
