ROADRUNNERS

Taking their name from Chuck Jones's iconic character and Bo Diddley's classic, the Roadrunners etched themselves into the history of French rock over some fifteen years, from 1982 to 1996, across six albums. Combining the Beatles' innate sense of melody, the Jam's pure energy, and the Dogs' class, the band from Le Havre delivered over a thousand incandescent concerts, mainly in France but also abroad, from the United States to "Belgerie".

One of the rare French acts to handle franglish through Frandol's meticulously crafted lyrics, the Road — to their intimates — were often, during those earth-shattering shows, the best live French rock band, and sometimes even the best live rock band period.
