STEAM DOWN PRESENTS: THE SOUNDS OF THE DIASPORA with ADANNAY, THEON + **SURPRISE GUESTS!**

Join **Steam Down** for a special summer evening of live music at Round The Dock on Friday 28th August 2026. As the sun sets over London, three of our favourite artists take to the festival's floating outdoor stage opposite Corner Corner, each presenting a unique live performance rooted in the sounds of the diaspora.

**ADANNAY** makes music to bring the feels. Born and raised in South London, British-Caribbean singer-songwriter ADANNAY weaves stories of queer Black joy and resistance into bops that make you think, smile and dance. Playfully layering their roots in Caribbean folk and Gospel music with neo-soul vocals and an alt pop sound, ADANNAY’s songwriting is both nostalgic and fresh. Following the release of their debut EP “Her Favourite Song” in 2018, ADANNAY was featured on BBC Introducing and performed at Cheltenham Jazz Festival, 110 Above and Cross The Tracks.

**Theon Cross** is one of those rare musicians whose vision has redefined their instrument. His unique approach to the tuba has expanded the instrument’s sonic possibilities in revolutionary fashion, restoring it to a long-forgotten prominence as a crucial part of the contemporary jazz ensemble. Through his combination of technical mastery, studio smarts, deep musical knowledge and expansive vision, the power and originality of Theon’s playing has reinvented the tuba’s place in modern music.
