STEAM DOWN PRESENTS: THE SOUNDS OF THE DIASPORA with

Join **Steam Down** for a special summer evening of live music at Round The Dock on Friday 7th August 2026. As the sun sets over London, three of our favourite artists take to the festival's floating outdoor stage opposite Corner Corner, each presenting a unique live performance rooted in the sounds of the diaspora.

**Rebekah Reid** creates immersive, multilayered soundscapes through virtuosic violin, live looping and electronics, blending contemporary classical, jazz, folk and drum & bass. Her acclaimed debut album Selected Works Vol. 1 was longlisted in five categories for the 66th GRAMMY® Awards, and she has performed with artists including Alicia Keys, Stormzy, Celeste and Chineke! Orchestra.

**Zoka The Author** makes "iceberg music" - songs that connect instantly while revealing deeper meaning with every listen. His thoughtful lyricism explores race, relationships and mental health, earning support from BBC Radio, KISS FM, EARMILK and Wonderland, alongside performances at Love Supreme, Southbank Centre and The Jazz Cafe.

**Ahnansé,** founder of Steam Down, is a London-born, Caribbean-rooted multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer. His work spans jazz, classical composition and improvisation, with music featured in FIFA 21, Flat Share and the FIFA World Cup campaign. For this special evening, he presents his solo quintet alongside a selection of special guests.
