Sex Shop Mushrooms is a must-see band on the Parisian grunge scene, known for their uninhibited and powerful approach. Formed in late 2022, the band consists of Timothée LEPORINI (vocals / guitar), Giulia VINCIGUERRA (drums), Victor CRESSEAUX (guitar) and Cyprien ORTUNO (bass). Their mantra, "BREAK NORMS, SOUND LOUD," resonates through every note, every riff, and every performance, asserting their place in the underground music landscape.

At the crossroads of 90s grunge and modern energy, their debut album "God Doesn't Exist," self-released in October 2024, quickly made a sensation. Boasting half a million streams and hundreds of physical albums sold, the album received widespread critical acclaim, notably from Rolling Stone, Libération, and Oui FM. It’s impossible not to compare them to some little-known Seattle band from the 90s, whether in their discourse, their vocals, or their raw yet haunting music. Sex Shop Mushrooms is the very embodiment of the grunge scene revival in France.

-The band has climbed onto the main stage at Xtreme Fest, Fête de l’Huma, opened for Pogo Car Crash Control, and played several legendary Parisian venues (La Boule Noire, Point Éphémère). After 100 concerts across France, the band has caught the attention of a large part of the French grunge scene.

Sex Shop Mushrooms returns with their second album, capturing a raw energy, composed for the live stage, dealing with various subjects both personal and social. Mixed and mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana, SoundGarden, Mudhoney), it transports the band directly into the listener's room, blending aggressive sounds with raw production. "131217" has been available since January 30, 2026 via No Need Name Records.
