SHLUG
The death-coaster that is SHLUG, are the unmusical bone saw of mechanical dissonances and distortions with a dubious and violent soundscape prepared to make your eardrums shatter and bleed. The noisy cutthroat non barbershop three piece from Cardiff creates an industrial atmosphere that will evoke primal instincts to its captivated audience, turning a venue into a pit of rabid dogs.
THE MERITONES
In early 2024, The Meritones were billed as “jangle-pop”, and they took that personally. Pitting rabid vocals, pummelling rhythms and an over-reliance on fuzz pedals against each other, this frenzied mulch of Cardiff heft has since found favour with KEXP and Radio Wales.
Their live shows are a mangle of hair, limbs and occasional harmonica, with reckless energy taking them from a max-capacity Sŵn Festival set to stages alongside mclusky, The Family Battenberg and FEET. Their EP is coming eventually. Please get excited.
