SONDRE LERCHE cultivates a pop that changes its skin without losing its pulse. Hailing from Bergen, the Norwegian musician starts with a classical guitar, but his world soon opens up to bossa nova, jazz, rock, and electronics. Each song seems to search for a new, luminous, elegant corner, sometimes fragile, always alert. His work crosses records, soundtracks, books, and theater with an undomesticated curiosity. He writes from emotion, but avoids excess. He prefers nuance to underlining and melody as a form of truth. In his voice, lightness and depth, pop craftsmanship, and an adventurous spirit coexist.
