Suzon, new uninhibited French-language song

Formerly an architect, Suzon trained at a jazz conservatory and won a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. This unique background has given birth to a very personal universe, a sort of musical Rubik's cube a thousand miles away from academicism, blending pop, chanson, and soul. Her voice ties together all the tracks, which are dominated by a unique groove.

Suzon's music—she is a public speaking professional in her everyday life—is organic, authentic, and often more complex than it seems. Suzon embodies this new wave of uninhibited French chanson that delights in blurring the lines. Ultimately, being Suzon means wanting to be as free as Les Rita Mitsouko, as wholehearted as Beyoncé, or as delicate as Matthieu Boogaerts.

Damien Rondo is a singer-songwriter and also a film production designer. Between nostalgic electro-pop and a variety style that he describes as "naive and sincere," he draws his inspiration from the Nouvelle Vague as well as from Italian and French chanson of the 60s to the 80s. Here and there, one can hear the influence of Dominique A, François & The Atlas Mountain, Etienne Daho, and of course that of Françoise Hardy, his absolute idol.

His collaboration with composer and music producer Mathieu Baillot has allowed him to deploy cinematic arrangements over catchy melodies. His debut EP 'Lièvre' was released in June 2024.
