Sondre is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, composer, and artist based in Los Angeles.

Sondre is a Norwegian singer, songwriter, composer, and artist based in Los Angeles. Faces Down, his eclectic and melodic debut, written and recorded at age 16, was named by Rolling Stone as one of the most significant debuts of 2002, also winning a Norwegian Grammy for Best Newcomer. Over the past two decades, Lerche has released nine studio albums, toured with artists such as Air, Stereolab, Elvis Costello, and St Vincent, appeared on the David Letterman show, and composed numerous film scores, including the one for the 2007 hit movie starring Steve Carell and Juliette Binoche, Dan In Real Life. 2020 was a busy year for Lerche. Back in his native Norway during the pandemic, he released his ninth studio album, Patience. The album received 3 Norwegian Grammy nominations and was praised by Stereogum, Paste, SPIN, American Songwriter, and Under The Radar, among others. Lerche also wrote his first children's book and launched a line of natural wines, PATOS.
