The story
First new release in 7 years, Vertige du Seum marks the grand return of singer Tété. Through this track, the singer-songwriter tells the story of a man who, after being brought to his knees, pulls himself together for his children—a narrative prelude to a new conceptual yet deeply human album where emotion takes center stage. The track captures the emotional vertigo of a saturated era—the sound of the silence screaming—when the intimate becomes universal.
This single inaugurates a new artistic cycle: a free, unformatted work that accompanies rather than comments. Because to smile is to hope, serving as a way to introduce his double album "Une Semaine Sur Deux" (10 songs featured in arranged versions on disc A, and in voice-and-guitar versions on disc B), scheduled for autumn '26, which introduces new sounds while respecting the poet's signature style.
For over twenty-five years, Tété has traversed eras without ever dissolving into them. Folk, blues, pop, electric fables, or acoustic sparseness: he explores without disowning. He tours the United States, Japan, and Canada. He composes for himself and for others. He rejects boxes and prefers long trajectories over passing fashion trends.
