UEBERTRIBE & ZHEP

„ZHEP“ stands for „zeigt her eure platten“ (show us your records). Four days full of DJ sets in eight locations, vinyl digging in the city's numerous record stores, and plenty of opportunities to mingle with like-minded people.

The weekender kicks off on Thursday at Mojo Jazz Cafe with a welcome concert by Hamburg raw-funk legends UEBERTRIBE. Evolving in 2011 from the notorious „We Call It Funk“ sessions, they are known for their uncompromising funk – raw, edgy, and analog!

UEBERTRIBE are part of the established KOMET Kollektiv and are in good company with the Hamburg Spinners, Angels Of Libra, and Diazpora, among others. Before and after the concert, there will be the first 30-minute DJ sets. The final line-up is not yet confirmed, but over 70 DJs from all over Germany have registered. Musically, you can expect a thrilling melange of funk, soul, disco, boogie, hip-hop, edits, and consistently refreshing departures from the norm. As you would expect from the theme: strictly vinyl!
