Where the sea unites cultures.

On September 12, 2026, Praia da Nova Vaga hosts the first European edition of the Yemanjá Festival, a project arriving in Portugal after five editions in Brazil and over 30,000 participants.

More than just a music festival, Yemanjá Festival Europa will be a major gathering between Portugal, Brazil, Africa and their diasporas, uniting music, culture, education, ancestry and social impact.

The experience begins during the day, at the Fator X space, with a Music Lab, a music production masterclass by South African singer, DJ and producer Thandi Draai, capoeira, samba, Afro dance and Kuduro workshops, networking and Open Deck – Women on the Decks, creating opportunities for learning, exchange and the discovery of new talents.

In the late afternoon, the gathering moves down to the sea, featuring capoeira, samba, percussion, cultural performances, the Yemanjá Ceremony and a Sunset Gathering, leading the audience into the musical lineup featuring national and international DJs and artists.

Solidarity is also a central part of the project: the festival features a solidarity ticket associated with the donation of 2 kg of non-perishable food items, intended for institutions supporting children, the elderly and vulnerable families in the municipality of Almada.
