The story
How do you pursue a solo career when you come from one of the most defining groups of the late 2010s? By avoiding self-betrayal and becoming even more singular. The equation Zed chose is working out remarkably well for him. Coming from 13 Block—the legendary group now on hiatus, known for its dark, street rap packed with vibe-heavy anthems that spilled out of the streets to capture the era (Vide, Fuck le 17, Vrai Négro, Balayer...)—the rapper from Sevran has carved out a major lion's share for himself in the space he created. He polishes his formula with success (Joli, Jauné, Cimenter...), blending what he calls "melodies and thoughts." Between sung melancholy and devilishly punchlined beats, Zed reinvents himself and pushes a new vision initiated in the track Nephilim. That is the name he chose for his project released on January 30, 2026. In it, he wears his stripes as the hero of a scene currently criticized for prioritizing form over substance. With Zed, it's all there: polished music videos, sharp styling. He has all the makings of a hitman who makes everything look effortless. In these times, dark yet luminous in places, with Nephilim Part. I, Zed once again succeeds in creating the ideal soundtrack to put words to our feelings about the era.
