Following the success of her 2024 album OSMIN, singer and rapper Zinée once again displays her quiet artistic strength in a new EP titled BIL, a symbol of a beneficial rebirth and change of course. Across seven tracks inhabited by the humanity that defines her, she wipes the slate clean, sheds the weights that sometimes held back her desire to create, and frees herself, both musically and personally. To perfect BIL, Zinée surrounded herself with a small, caring team of three musicians who are as talented as they are her friends. There is the Canadian pianist and jack-of-all-trades Chilly Gonzales, multi-platinum beatmaker Freaky Joe (SCH, Djadja & Dinaz, SDM, Kekra...), and producer Empty7, known for his solo projects and work with rapper Django. From this emulation "without pressure, without misplaced ego and without negativity" emerged music oscillating between darkness and solar sounds, between memories and an irresistible urge to move forward no matter what. Zinée dexterously appropriates setbacks, plunging back into childhood and nostalgia to draw inspiration, certainly, but also this quest for happiness that drives her.
