Aldebert (whose first name is Guillaume) is a French singer-songwriter. Born in Paris in 1973, he did not stay there long, as he quickly moved to Besançon in Franche-Comté. He would later dedicate a song to this city, Besac, and write La chanson du 2-5 with the collaboration of Madelaine Proust. His lyrics often speak of his childhood, combining humor and irony. He loves adding wordplay to his songs, such as "retrouver l'appétit du bonheur, pas de régime sans elle" (in L'Appétit du Bonheur), or "tout vient à point à qui sait se détendre" (in La méthode couette).
He gives numerous concerts, around 180 between 2000 and 2003, either solo or accompanied by his musicians: in 2008, these are Christophe Darlot Le ToUf (keyboards, accordion, and often arranger of most tracks; he also produces the albums), François Grimm La Chicane (guitars), Stéphane Metin Groin-Groin (bass, double bass, and backing vocals), Cédric Desmazières Bitchon (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Thomas Nicol (cellist, keyboardist, and guitarist).
2003: He is the winner of the Radio France Trophy for French song.
In October 2008, he teamed up with big names in French song ( notably Maxime le Forestier, Elodie Frégé, and Renan Luce) for an album intended for children (or adults who have remained so at heart), which was very well received by critics: Enfantillages.
