About

Maneva is a renowned reggae band from São Paulo, formed by five close friends who turned their love for music into a story of success and inspiration. Comprising Tales de Polli (vocals and acoustic guitar), Felipe Sousa (guitar), Fernando Gato (bass), Diego Andrade (percussion), and Fabinho Araújo (drums), the band has built an impressive trajectory over approximately 20 years. With over 10 awards and 1.5 billion streams, Maneva is one of the most expressive movements in recent Brazilian music. The union of these talented musicians resulted in the creation of Maneva, a name chosen by Tales de Polli, who had envisioned the band's success even before its formation. "Maneva" comes from the Swahili dialect and means "pleasure," perfectly reflecting the happiness, freedom, and well-being that the band brings to its fans. With every show, album, or single released, Maneva conveys this sense of pleasure, creating a deep connection with the audience. In addition to their musical achievements, Maneva is known for their engagement with social causes and their positive outlook on the world. The band values a genuine connection with their audience and is dedicated to creating experiences that go beyond music. In 2021, the band was nominated for a Latin Grammy with the song "Lágrimas de Alegria," a collaboration with Natiruts in the "Best Portuguese Language Song" category, composed by Tales de Polli and Deko. The band's trajectory is marked by an impressive portfolio of awards and recognition. They have 1 diamond single, 1 double platinum single, 1 platinum album, 4 platinum singles, 3 gold singles, and 1 gold album.
