Verde Menta

Created in 2021 in the south of the Island of Florianópolis, Verde Menta aims to be the identity of a generation of young phoenixes, who for now feel orphaned by the contemporary and appeal to replicating the same old customs. The band brings with it a yearning for retro-modern, and transforms into a Frankenstein of references, the most frequent being the Beatles' baroque pop, Mutantes' striking psychedelia, tropicalism's thought-provoking lyrics and progressive rock's airy instrumentals. In its widely authorial repertoire, Verde Menta brings in its first act 3 released singles, the first of them, 7 de novembro, already accumulates more than 9 thousand streams on music platforms, along with Super Girassol #4 and Eu Desmaiei Na Frente Dela e Ela Riu Da Minha Cara, this trinity of released songs reflects a relaxed and effervescent phase. The band started its tour journey at the end of 2023, and since then has been gathering a group of regulars, who puff out their chests to sing some of the songs' catchy choruses. In the year 2024, Verde Menta won the Palco Aberto contest at Célula Showcase, played shows at Bro Cave, No Haôma Festival, Inferninho and made some humble presentations in Guarda do Embaú. The band has two composed and arranged albums and dreams of releasing their first studio album “Hippies, Antibióticos e muito mais” in the year 2025, where they plan to mark the beginning of a new phase in their musical process.
