The Blessed Madonna, nascida Marea Stamper, é uma DJ, produtora e música norte-americana, reconhecida pelos seus sets que desafiam géneros, combinando house, disco e techno com uma boa disposição que não deixa ninguém indiferente. Natural do Kentucky, Marea iniciou a sua carreira no final da década de 1990, vendendo mixtapes a partir do seu automóvel, antes de se tornar DJ residente e a primeira mulher a desempenhar funções de curadora musical no lendário espaço Smartbar, em Chicago. A sua carreira levou-a aos palcos dos maiores festivais internacionais e a colaborações de grande dimensão com artistas pop. Em 2020, destacou-se ao conceber a curadoria e as remisturas de Club Future Nostalgia, de Dua Lipa, projeto que contou com a participação de lendas como Madonna e Missy Elliott. É também a protagonista e a voz central de "Marea (We've Lost Dancing)", o tema que marcou a afirmação internacional de Fred again...

Em 2024, lançou o muito aguardado álbum de estreia em estúdio, Godspeed, que inclui colaborações com Kylie Minogue, The Joy e Clementine Douglas. Para além da sua atividade musical, dirige a sua própria editora discográfica, We Still Believe, e é uma defensora assumida da justiça social, apoiando ativamente os direitos da comunidade LGBTQ+, a reforma do sistema prisional e causas feministas em todo o mundo.

Next Decemeber 5th we host The Blessed Madonna, a day that marks our official 20th anniversary.

The Blessed Madonna, born Marea Stamper, is an American DJ, producer and musician, renowned for her genre-defying sets that blend house, disco and techno with an infectious sense of joy that leaves no one standing still. Emerging from the Midwest US rave scene, she made history in 2016 by becoming the first woman to win Mixmag's DJ of the Year award.

A Kentucky native, Marea began her career in the late 1990s, selling mixtapes from the boot of her car before becoming a resident DJ and the first woman to serve as music curator at Chicago's legendary Smartbar. Her career has since taken her to the stages of the world's leading festivals and to high-profile collaborations with major pop artists. In 2020, she gained widespread acclaim for curating and remixing Club Future Nostalgia, Dua Lipa's acclaimed remix album, which featured contributions from icons including Madonna and Missy Elliott. She is also the voice and central figure behind "Marea (We've Lost Dancing)", the track that marked Fred again..'s international breakthrough.

In 2024, she released her long-awaited debut studio album, Godspeed, featuring collaborations with Kylie Minogue, The Joy and Clementine Douglas. Beyond her musical career, she runs her own record label, We Still Believe, and is an outspoken advocate for social justice, actively supporting LGBTQ+ rights, prison reform and feminist causes around the world.
