Alewya is an Ethiopian‑Egyptian artist, singer, producer and visual creator whose work transcends continents and disciplines. Born in Saudi Arabia and raised in London, she embodies a new generation of artists reinventing world music, rooted in heritage yet freed from its limits. She describes herself as a painter who makes music, treating sound as texture and emotion, guided by intuition rather than structure.

Her journey, marked by the melodies of the Qur’an, Ethiopian rhythms and her brother’s alternative influences, feeds an eclectic palette. Her first project, Panther in Mode (2021), revealed a bold voice in the British music scene, blending afro‑electronic percussion with striking visual identity.

With ZERO, her new album, Alewya explores zero as a symbol of infinity: a work shaped by humility, deconstruction and instinct. Partially self‑produced, the album reflects a journey of acceptance, vulnerability and creative freedom, far from external expectations.

Her art, whether music or painting, is a sacred expression guided by faith and instinct. Alewya does not seek to be understood, but to understand herself through her creation.
