DARAN - Rock Daran’s name has been familiar to us for a long time, first as the frontman of the French band Daran et les Chaises and then as a solo artist. Above all, he is the creator of 10 studio albums and 1 live album over 26 years.

“Huit barré“, his second album released in 1995, propelled him to the forefront of the French rock scene, notably thanks to the hit single “Dormir dehors”. A legendary album recently reissued by Warner for its 30th anniversary in a double-vinyl collector's edition featuring numerous bonus tracks.

After numerous collaborations with Miossec, Yarol Poupaud, Johnny Hallyday, Francis Cabrel, Maurane, and Jane Birkin, he announced his grand return in 2025 with an 11th album, “Grand Hotel Apocalypse”. Daran reconnects with incisive rock and strong melodies. The ingredients: a bass, a guitar, a drums kit. The recipe: no effect pedals, instruments plugged straight into the amps. 11 songs exploring Daran's favorite themes: freedom, lost loves, the search for self, and above all, humanity at the center of every story.

Written, produced, and recorded between Montreal, Brittany, Mexico, and California, “Grand Hôtel Apocalypse” is an album that will undoubtedly make its mark, judging by the dithyrambic reception from both media and the public. Simply “the best French rock album of the back-to-school season, a miraculous album,” according to Eric Bureau from Le Parisien.

And live, DARAN’s success shows no sign of fading! The reunion with his audience during the first leg of the tour was emotionally charged, and the new “power trio” lineup featuring Roman Gaume on guitar and Romain Viallon (ex-Luke) on drums is delighting aficionados.
