For this 20th edition of the Summer Jam Festival, the Club welcomes an iconic musician whose history is intimately linked to this venue: Étienne Mbappé. This giant of jazz and world music shares a true love affair with the Club that began in the 1980s. He knows its stage better than anyone else today, after decades of music, sweat, and shared passion within its walls. His presence tonight is a celebration of the African roots of jazz.

His distinctive playing style, wearing gloves, gives him an inimitable sound signature—a finesse of touch and raw expressiveness that set him apart on stages around the world.

Alongside him are three top-tier musicians: Anthony Jambon on guitar, with a crystal-clear and sophisticated style, already a stage partner to Étienne; Brice Essomba on keyboards, an arranger and composer influenced by jazz and afro-contemporary sounds; and Japhet Boristhène on drums, originally from Réunion Island and now one of the most respected figures on the Lyon jazz scene. An evening shaping up to be memorable.
