More than fifty years of music, travel and visions. Founded in 1972 during a musical and spiritual journey between Europe and Africa, Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids have built a sound universe where spiritual jazz, afro-jazz, funk and afrofuturism meet in a free, ritual and deeply visionary dimension. A story that began between Chicago, Antioch College and Ghana, passed through three cult albums in the seventies and returned to new life in 2007. Since then, Idris Ackamoor and the Pyramids have continued to push jazz beyond its boundaries, between the strength of Fela Kuti, the cosmic trajectories of Sun Ra and the spiritual intensity of Pharoah Sanders. On October 30th they arrive on the stage of the Locomotiv Club with the music of the latest works released by Strut Records: “Shaman”, “Afro Futuristic Dreams” and “Artistic Being”.
