Inner_Spaces ROBERT LIPPOK, ARVO PART (MUSIC)

Sacred representation (Il tuo volto io cerco) built entirely upon the vocal works of Arvo Pärt and three electronic interventions by Robert Lippok, arranged in a liturgical order. Each section proposes a precise thematic core, to which Lippok responds with an electronic resonance conceived as an extension of the acoustic space. Ars Discantica creates brief vocal transitions that maintain the continuity of the flow.

The section opens with a series of Psalms: *Peace Upon You, Jerusalem* for female choir, followed by *Zwei slawische Psalmen* and *Cantate Domino*: pages that alternate invocation, supplication and luminosity. Lippok intervenes with a first electronic intermezzo conceived as an expansion of the resonance left by the choir.

At the center of the program, the *Missa syllabica* represents one of the most emblematic moments of Pärt's tintinnabuli turning point. The subsequent electronic intermezzo prolongs the suspension generated by the Mass.

The section gathers three Christological works: *Which Was the Son of…*, a meditation on the genealogy of Christ; *Morning Star*, a brief luminous invocation; *Da pacem Domine*, an ancient Latin antiphon asking for peace in difficult days. A third intermezzo prepares the conclusion.

The performance closes with *And I heard a voice…*, from the Book of Revelation: an essential and suspended page, which announces the beatitude of the righteous with a calm that broadens like a breath. Here all performers are present: Ars Discantica and Robert Lippok.
