Like it was meant to be. They had been talking for a while about wanting to tour together. Not just taking turns on stage, no, truly together. But it is not easy for these road warriors, never short of projects, to manage to coordinate their schedules. These folks have been friends since the last century. Because they share humanist values and a voracious appetite for freedom that guides their journeys, of course. But they are also united by a conception of their craft in all its dimension of sharing, meeting, and relating to the Other. It is probably all of this that, beyond artistic quality, brings such a broad, intergenerational, and loyal audience around them. And it is a deeply singular story that these two groups and their audience share, in this complicit sharing that never wanes, quite the contrary, over the decades. It is on their favorite playground, the one where you expose yourself, where you exchange, that they were born as artists and fully exist: the stage. It is on the road playing, all the time, everywhere, and in multiple forms that the two formations have met, built loyalty with, and expanded this audience. A 30-year career for Les Ogres, over 25 for La Rue, has confirmed what was initially just an intuition for them: yes, it is possible to build a long-lasting artistic project by following your own path, far from media radars and ephemeral trends, by staying in touch with the road and the people. With humility and complete integrity. The [now 5] Ogres and the [now 4] members of La Rue were already defending an uninhibited, generous, lively, sincere, poetic or high-voltage French song, loving or protest-driven, always open to all winds. But for the first time, these nine played together in the winter of 2025. Only 10 concerts, all completely sold out weeks and months in advance. The public's enthusiasm was even crazier than expected, as was the joy of sharing this artistic and human adventure. The party was so wonderful! So... impossible to leave it at that! Quickly, the artists decided to extend the pleasure by doing a short festival tour in the summer of 2025. The live album “Tout en commun!” was released on June 13, 2025. And that was it, for good. Already? But, but, but... why? Why not do another little tour the following summer, since the 2026 schedule allows it? The last one this time, the ultimate sharing! Like it was meant to be. So much do these artists have in common.
