Manger les oiseaux [first time in Lyon]

This haunting psych-pop feeds on street noise, necessary coincidences, and ordinary mysteries. A voice reflecting on absurd thoughts, looped endlessly, hovers over a straightforward and steady krautrock rhythm. Manger Les Oiseaux plays with oppositions, binding introspection and explosive rock.

Wendy Martinez [From Lyon with Love]

Wendy Martinez revisits 60s and 70s French pop and rock with a deep voice, poetic lyrics, and an assumed taste for psychedelic imagery. She sings about cosmic love, strong women, resilience, or even the "religion of screens," in a universe that is at once retro, strange, and highly personal. On stage as on record, vintage keyboards, languorous bass, reverb-tremolo guitar, trance drums, and luminous backing vocals carry her songs with a singular energy. A complete artist, she also paints her visuals and directs her music videos, extending her music into a kaleidoscopic world where French chanson meets free, sensitive, and haunted pop.
