Marwan Boulaid - Jazz fusion Quartet + guests

On October 9th, guitarist and composer Marwan Boulaid presents the release of his new album Leap of Faith at the Nouveau Casino. Through this record, Marwan explores a borderless musical universe, fueled by the influences that have shaped his journey as a guitarist: electric jazz, 90s/2000s rock, impressionism, progressive metal, and improvised music. Leap of Faith was born from a refusal to choose, from a desire to bring multiple aesthetics into dialogue, mirroring his dual Franco-Moroccan culture.

Musical cross-pollination is at the heart of this evening: a journey between written compositions and spaces for improvisation, between melodic finesse and bursts of energy.

Trained between Paris and Boston, notably at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Marwan is developing a project at the crossroads of jazz fusion, rock, and contemporary music. His approach blends precision in writing, freedom of interpretation, and sound exploration, giving birth to music that is both organic and contrasting.
