Pierpaolo Capovilla e i Cattivi Maestri

There are artists who pass through music and others who end up becoming part of its conscience. Pierpaolo Capovilla undoubtedly belongs to the second category. One of the most intense and recognizable voices and songwriters in Italian independent rock, Capovilla arrives at Vibra in Modena with the project Pierpaolo Capovilla e I Cattivi Maestri.

Over thirty years of music, from One Dimensional Man, a seminal Italian noise and post-hardcore formation, to Il Teatro degli Orrori, a band that brought poetic, political, and uncompromising lyrics back to the heart of rock. A journey pursued through readings, public interventions, and cinema, always driven by the same civic urgency.

With I Cattivi Maestri, Capovilla inaugurates a more essential and direct season. In 2022, the self-titled album was released via Garrincha Dischi, a compact and militant work built on rough sounds, stripped-down arrangements, and writing that alternates between invective and confession.

On stage, Capovilla will be joined by Fabrizio Baioni on drums, Loris Cericola on guitar, and Federico Aggio on bass: a lineup rooted in the Italian independent scene, ready to back his voice with a direct and uncompromising sound.

Because Capovilla's rock doesn't simply look for an audience: it calls them out.
