Rémi Wassim Chabanel x Luazó

Virtuoso bassist and composer, Rémi Wassim Chabanel navigates at the crossroads of his jazz education, his Franco-Algerian origins, and electronic music influences.

He evokes a universe imbued with sky, desert, and the deep Algerian South by making his bass sound like an oud or a Turkish saz. His seemingly simple music immediately plunges the listener into a floating meditative journey. His new project entitled "Mardi soir, le chat des sables" invites a classical guitar, synthesizers, and traditional percussion alongside his electric bass, to take us to North Africa.

Live on the Péniche Marcounet, Rémi will invite Luazó to join him to continue the journey to South America: driven by Robin Gentien's guitar and compositions, Luazó is a nomadic Latin music project, between Paris and Buenos Aires, between psychedelic cumbia, Sahelian guitar, and feverish tumbao.
