Rencontre avec Claude Mouriéras

Director, screenwriter, and cinematographer, Claude Mourièras has an eclectic, adventurous film output. Known for films like "Dis-moi que je rêve" and "Tout va bien, on s'en va", he has extensively explored the boundaries between documentary and fiction, from Gallotta's ballets to the hospitals of Kabul. For him, "Making films means going to see how the world is doing, and then perhaps trying to fix it." In 2015, Claude Mouriéras founded Lyon's first free film school, open to young people aged 18 to 25, with or without a diploma: CinéFabrique. Driven by a genuine commitment to social diversity, CinéFabrique trains 49 students per promotion and per site (CinéFabrique has existed in Marseille since 2023) in seven professions: supervision, VFX, set design, screenwriting, production, image, sound, and editing. And it works! The young generations graduating from CinéFabrique, coming from varied socio-cultural and geographical backgrounds, help renew our perspective on the world and transform it. Through notable works, such as Louise Courvoisier's Vingt Dieux, César for Best First Film in 2025.

Every Thursday evening at Hôtel71, a free meeting open to all with cultural or media professionals, to understand our era and prepare for the future. The meetings are followed by a friendly gathering over a drink.
