After a first sold-out concert, the German band Rikas will be back on November 4th at La Maroquinerie in Paris.

Rikas, a band of childhood friends originally from Stuttgart, have been moving forward together for ten years now. On the occasion of their upcoming European tour, entitled "Dog Days," they are celebrating the spirit of their beginnings by performing in a selection of venues that have marked their journey. The "Dog Days" refer to the hottest days of the year, while the band's name comes from one of the members' family dog—a perfect way to pay tribute to their roots. It all started with their first EP, “Swabian Samba,” in 2018, before their melodic sense, luminous harmonies, and deeply collective approach allowed them to unite an increasingly loyal community of fans.

After their first album “Showtime” (2019), followed by the EPs “Short Stories” (2021) and “Goodbye Sunshine” (2022), Rikas established themselves as one of the most exciting live bands on the German scene. Their second album, “Soundtrack For A Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet,” led them to play their first sold-out headline shows in several major European cities, from London to Lisbon, via Amsterdam and Paris. True to their egalitarian philosophy, Sam Luca Baisch, Sascha Scherer, Ferdinand Hübner, and Chris Ronge continue to share writing, creation, and the stage in equal parts.

In 2025, the band experienced a new momentum when their covers of rock classics, notably Wings' “Goodnight Tonight,” went viral on social media after being shared by Florence Pugh, even drawing the attention of Sir Paul McCartney. This nostalgic interlude finds a natural echo in “Bedroom Tapes,” a new EP composed of five tracks recorded in their early days in Sam's parents' bedroom, then restored and enriched ten years later. These previously unreleased songs offer a sincere look at the band's early years, capturing the spontaneous energy, freshness, and carelessness that characterized their first steps.

Blending vintage pop, rock, and alternative melodies, “Bedroom Tapes” constitutes a true return to roots while opening a new chapter. Between memories of youth and growing international recognition, Rikas approach 2026 with the desire to share this adventure with an ever-wider audience across the world, while staying true to what has united them from day one: the simple pleasure of making music together.
