The story
Solal Roubine embodies a French-language indie pop that is as melancholic as it is comforting. Singer-songwriter and composer, he has accumulated nearly a million streams on platforms and over the years has established himself as a unique voice on the Parisian indie scene.
Born in Paris, Solal grew up between music and poetry, cradled by the influence of a father who was a singer and conductor. His universe draws as much from the American soul of the Jackson 5 and Otis Redding as from the folk of Bob Dylan or the alternative sounds of contemporary RnB, from Steve Lacy to Jordan Ward. From this mixture of influences is born intimate, sensitive, and modern music.
Solal Roubine returns today with T'es triste??, a third EP blending indie pop, neo-soul, and French chanson. Through raw and direct tracks, he tackles his traumas, nostalgia, love, and doubt in autobiographical lyrics. With T'es triste??, Solal delivers lucid and human music that makes us feel a little less alone. On stage, his songs take on a new dimension, driven by a communicative energy in which Solal deploys a performance that is both touching and explosive.
