The story

Songhoy Blues explores a more acoustic and renewed approach to desert blues and has established itself since 2013 with a strong identity and stage energy sometimes described as Timbuktu punk. Their songs evoke daily life and human relationships in Mali, relying on simple melodic structures, grounded rhythms, and expressive guitars.
