Born in Kaifeng, China, YU SU is a musician, DJ, composer and occasional chef whose work occupies a distinctive space between dub techno, ambient and experimental club music. Her second album, Foundry, released on Sheffield label Short Span, is a beautifully detailed exploration of rhythm, texture and space, inspired by ideas of transformation, memory and movement.

JJJJJerome Ellis is a Grenadian-Jamaican-American composer, poet and performer whose interdisciplinary work explores Blackness, dysfluency, speech, silence and transcendence. Combining spoken word with ambient and jazz textures, their performances draw on saxophone, flute, dulcimer, electronics and voice. Their acclaimed album and poetry book The Clearing was followed by Vesper Sparrow on Shelter Press.

Memotone is one of the artistic aliases of Will Yates, a composer and musician whose work blends jazz, folk, contemporary classical, ambient and esoteric fourth-world music. A familiar presence in Bristol’s experimental music community, he has released music on World of Echo, The Trilogy Tapes and Accidental Meetings, as well as performing with DIALS and Jabu. He has also appeared on recent releases by Carrier and YU SU.
