Tristan da Cunha + Domiziano Maselli | Gagarin Matinée

Formed as a duo in 2016, **Tristan da Cunha** have released several albums over the years with leading Italian experimental indie labels.

In Maris Stella, an album released in July 2026 to mark the 20th anniversary of the label **Boring Machines**, they added a new member: Nicolò Vara on the viola, to explore post-classicism and sacred minimalism. The result is a dense and moving album in its silences, filled with a mysterious spatiality.

Domiziano Maselli is a visual and sound artist based in Milan who explores the intersection of painting, animation, music videos, and experimental composition. His multidisciplinary approach ranges from electroacoustic music and sound design to video game soundtracks.

Five years after Lazzaro, Maselli returns to Torto Editions with Garden of Kira, a work of equal density and even more abrasive rawness. This record represents the culmination of an aesthetic that is only apparently more restrained. The project draws life from the collaborative friction with Genoa-based double bassist and producer Tommaso Rolando — an expressive sphere where free improvisation and rigorous acoustic investigation have been fundamental, as already seen in Enjoy Country Music.
